A favorite verse: I Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”   

My name is Brian Massey. I serve on the Founding Team of NCM NE and the Board of Directors of the Institute for Spiritual Life and Psychotherapy. I am an alumnus and former faculty member of Eastern Nazarene College, where I taught psychology and directed the graduate program in counseling over the past two decades until its recent closure. I now hold a similar role at Curry College in Milton, MA.

 

With the closure of ENC, I am very grateful for continued connection and collaboration with former colleagues and members of the ENC family like this wonderful endeavor, as well as an ongoing research program investigating Emotional Intelligence and its connection with Christlike leadership with former ENC faculty colleagues at other colleges.

 

I live in Hanover, MA, with my wife, Laurie, a local pediatrician who is also passionate about living a life of compassion and service to others, and my two amazing young adult twin daughters, when they are not off at college or work! Our family enjoys exploring and appreciating Creation through kayaking, hiking, and biking.
